Successful copywriter, COS mentor, and long-time AWAI member Chris Allsop joins AWAI Executive Director Katie Yeakle to share how she’s built a copywriting career that has evolved and adapted over nearly two decades.

Since 2007, Chris has developed strategies and written copy for clients ranging from multi-million-dollar companies to solopreneurs across a wide range of industries. Along the way, she’s experienced copywriting from every angle — working as a full-time employee, freelancing on the side while employed, and now operating as a part-time freelance writer and consultant. Each stage of that journey has brought new lessons, challenges, and opportunities she never expected when she first started.

In this Inside AWAI conversation, Chris shares the strategies that have helped her sustain a long and flexible writing career. She also talks about what she’s focused on today, how she’s integrating AI into her work, and why she’s returning to one of her earliest passions in writing: ghostwriting books for entrepreneurs.
