  1. It is often hard to talk to partners about money, especially partners with whom you are emotionally or familially involved. I have found it helpful to have a discussion and set a time limit. For example, "Let's carve out an hour this week to talk about our finances and make a plan for the new year." That helps your partner(s) mentally prepare and feel safe that it won't go on for a draining amount of time. Then prediscuss a second meeting as needed.

  2. Money and Giving back are so intertwined with compassion and gratitude. This was a great reminder that the life of the successful writer is one which actively practices this critical pillar of wellness.

  3. Money is generally a low priority for me. Of course we need it to survive, though I've usually found that the Universe (however you choose to call that entity) will certainly provide what we truly need. Part of the reason I'm determined to write professionally in 2023 is that the Universe has guided me to AWAI and other resources, so obviously it's ready for me to start utilizing my talents!
