Your Recession-Proof Writing Career

When my husband lost his job, we didn’t have to panic.
I felt confident in our situation, knowing I’d be more than able to support us, writing from home, on my own terms.
I make my own hours. I help with the PTA at school. We have three boys now, and it’s not a big deal if there’s a snow day or somebody is home sick.
I can flip the laundry and unload the dishwasher when I get up to grab a cup of coffee. And my commute is 17 seconds long — down the hall from my bedroom.
I go on vacation when I feel like it… not when it's convenient for somebody else.
