Winners of AWAI’s February
New Writers Contest

Pam Foster is here today to announce the names of the winners for the February 2026 new writers contest!
The challenge was to write an 83-word email for DeepSleepEarbuds, a fictitious product that represents a real product you could be writing about.
Readers were given a copywriting brief just like a brief you’d receive from a real client, along with valuable tips for how to write an effective marketing email.
And the winners are … Stephanie Bortnem, Mark Beck, and Jameela Sarver!
Check out Pam’s short video about these winners, including brief insights about why each of these winning submissions impressed our team.
She also shares some valuable tips you can use to improve ANY copy you write.
Congratulations to all who took part in the contest!
With so many creative entries, narrowing it down to just a few $200 prize winners is never an easy task …
But we truly enjoy recognizing your talent and effort.
Fantastic work — and don’t forget to include your submission in your portfolio!
If you missed this contest, make sure you tune into The Writer’s Life where we announce the next contest along with the winners each month!
