How do you pick and choose who to connect with on LinkedIn? Or, should I accept everyone?
We don’t advise sending out LinkedIn requests to people you’ve never met or communicated with. However, if you are going to do this type of networking, make sure to send a personal note with the reason you’re connecting with them.
As far as accepting requests, there’s no reason not to accept a LinkedIn request from someone, unless you don’t want someone to see your activity or you want to keep your profile private.
The more contacts you have, though, the more likely you will be to find contacts in common, which is a great way to get referrals and recommendations for potential projects.
