Professional Background:
I am a retired airline pilot who now enjoys writing as a profession and flying as a hobby.
My early professional employment was in Aerospace Engineering and Flight Operations positions. Significant technical writing was required in support of aircraft certification and sales.
This was challenging and interesting work which I enjoyed, while it furthered my goal of flying for the airlines.
It worked. And now, 39 years of professional flying is behind me and I am back to writing in the aviation niche.
Today there is a growing pilot and maintenance technician shortage amidst an explosion of technology making aviation safer, more efficient and more accessible than ever.
All of this activity opens wide the doors of opportunity and interesting, adventurous living.
Yet a vast amount of the world population is uninformed or even unaware.
