For most of her life, Lindsay felt like she was wandering.

“I spent over fifty years on this planet wondering what the hell I was doing,” she said during her recent interview with COS WIN Coach Sandy Franks. “And then suddenly I met my life purpose face-to-face and went — okay, we’re doing this now.”

Today, that calling has taken shape as an entire fictional universe: 4.5 books drafted. More than 450,000 words written. A registered trademark, website, email list, launch plan, cover concepts, and even an audiobook underway.

And it all began with a moment in 2019 — a moment she thought would bring closure but instead opened the door to her life’s work.

“What started as curiosity became clarity,” she said. “Writing this series feels like finally facing the right direction. Everything flows. It feels like play.”

Finding Her System — and Herself — Through AWAI

Lindsay doesn’t learn the traditional way.

Diagnosed with ADHD later in life, she often struggled with programs that required linear, do-this-then-that steps. But AWAI gave her something better — a toolkit she could pick up piece by piece as her creativity ignited.

She integrated the “4 P’s” and “4 U’s” into her writing. She used AWAI’s simple frameworks to build her funnel, lead magnet, website, and reader opt-in path. She applied marketing lessons to begin shaping her author brand.

“A huge part of my courage comes from knowing the training is there,” she said. “It’s my safety net. If I need help — with video scripts or marketing — I know where to look.”

She jokes that she’s a “patchwork learner.”

A Story for Readers Like Her — Neurodivergent, Human, and Hopeful

Lindsay’s series explores neurodivergence through characters navigating love, work, overwhelm, and deep inner change. The story arcs align with the chakra system — spiritual without being abstract, grounded without losing magic.

“I’m writing to help people feel understood,” she said. “To show the relationship struggles and breakthroughs that come with neurodivergence.”

Some scenes arrive in two-hour morning downloads. Others show up late at night, filling notebook after notebook. She writes when inspiration hits — and she follows it with discipline.

She’s even meeting her upcoming November launch deadline with confidence.

“Yes, I’ll hit the launch date,” she told Sandy. “Yes, I bloody am.”

Self-Publishing on Heart, Grit, and Less Than $1,000

Most new authors get overwhelmed by the logistics — formatting, cover design, marketing, distribution.

Lindsay dove in headfirst.

She’s producing an entire series on a shoestring budget under $1,000. She’s designing her covers, formatting her books, and building her reader list. She’s applying AWAI’s marketing teachings piece by piece — exactly when she needs them.

“You absolutely have to believe in what you’re writing,” she said. “There will be days you have to kick yourself in the backside. But if you have faith — you can do it.”

Her advice to other writers?

“It’s not just about your why. It’s about how you’re willing to show up for it.”

The Moment Everything Became Clear

When asked to describe what this year of writing has meant to her, she paused.

Then she said a single line Sandy described as “a heartbeat”:

“Knowing deep within me that this is my life purpose.”

Not just a book launch. Not just a self-publishing journey. But a woman who wandered for fifty years — and finally found where she belongs.

Her first book in the series, Tarot for Two, launches November 21, 2025 — the first step toward a five-book universe already in motion. And yes, an audiobook is coming too.

This is the moment Lindsay stops calling herself “a writer.”

Now, she’s an author.
