After 24 years in the classroom, I took my skills as an academic researcher, a writer of curriculum, organizer of presentations and displays to the nonprofit sector. I served on several boards for non-organizations providing fundraising, marketing, and promotional materials. These experiences led to pursuing my love of writing as a new career.
I joined AWAI, American Writers and Artists Inc., to study copywriting, direct sales writing and my favorite form of writing, writing for the web.
Most recently, in May 2021, I received certification in UX Copywriting from AWAI taught by Heather Robson.
