Congratulations to the Second-Place Winner of The Game of Success

Vicky Poutas has just found out that hard work really does pay off. As the second-place winner in Joshua Boswell’s Simple Path to Success: 12 Weeks to Winning Clients for a Lifetime program, this AWAI member is set to receive four 30-minute coaching calls with Joshua Boswell and an iPad Air 2. Vicky joins Grand Prize winner Candice Lazar and third-place winner Karen Monks.

“It feels fantastic to have won. I credit my win to a lot of hard work on my part and Joshua’s willingness to go the extra mile if I asked him questions that I wasn’t quite sure of,” says Vicky.

As part of the program, known informally as The Game of Success, Vicky earned points (only the Grand Prize winner earned more) by attending webinars, watching videos, completing worksheets, and other activities. But it wasn’t just a game.

As they went through the 12-week program, Vicky and the other participants were committed to establishing themselves as successful, working copywriters — learning skills like how to communicate with clients, spot a profitable niche, and market themselves effectively. This points system was used for accountability and to motivate everybody to stay on track.

“The program gave me confidence and a great deal of information that would have taken me years to learn on my own,” says Vicky. “On Marketing Monday we had one day where you had to research the top 20 companies in your niche. That was hard, and it was an eye-opener. And I liked Freedom Fridays because I have a lot of ‘head trash’ that tends to slow me down or stop me completely. The Friday lessons helped me overcome some of my self-imposed fears.”

Vicky plans to keep going and use this momentum to grow her writing business in her chosen niche: the pet industry.

“I plan to continue doing the ‘market, message, match’ plan that Joshua recommends, and hope to continue getting leads until I finally get a client,” says Vicky, who notes she’s already seen positive results in her career. “I have made several ‘warm leads,’ and had two people ask to see my information packet.”

Great job, Vicky. An attitude like that will take you far.
